Dr Richard Emms
Richard Emms joined the practice in 1990 and thoroughly enjoys being a doctor to the community despite all the challenges off the modern NHS. He relishes the opportunity to meet different people and likes to live every day as if it was the last. |

Dr Simon Horner
Simon Horner is a Partner at Abbey View and has been with the practice for 18 years. In addition to general practice Simon is one of 2 executive partners with responsibility for the day to day running of the practice, as well as the Lead for Child Protection and QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework). He also holds a Diploma in Substance Misuse and shares the inpatient care of clients at Clouds House with Dr Simone Yule. Simon represents North Dorset practices on the LMC (Local Medical Committee). He trained at Guy's Hospital in London and enjoys working in a rural area where, despite all the changes in General Practice, he values the personal continuity of care of his patients. |

Dr Simone Yule
Simone Yule qualified in medicine in Cardiff in 1991 and has been practicing at Abbey View for the last 10 years. She is a General Practitioner, specialising in substance misuse and treatment. Simone says that she loves the variability and unpredictability of her work and the chance to work with people from all walks of life. With 2 children and 5 horses, her greatest challenge is juggling home, family, work and hobbies – whilst ‘never judging and always smiling’. |

Dr Damian Patterson
Damian Patterson qualified in medicine from St George’s Hospital, London in 1992 having also completed an intercalated BSc in Anthropology at UCL. In addition to his General Practice Work he also leads diabetes and palliative care at the practice. He also enjoys the teaching of medical students and training of doctors in their final Registrar year in General Practice. His greatest challenges are the mountains of paperwork accompanying modern General Practice. He says however he has no regrets in his chosen profession and thoroughly enjoys the day to day clinical challenges of the job. He relishes living in beautiful North Dorset with his wife and 2 children aged 12 and 10. |

Dr Crispin Malpas
Crispin Malpas joined the practice as a trainee in 2008 and loved it so much he couldn't stay away. He became a partner in September 2011. After attending medical school at St Georges In London he returned to the area he grew up in, initially training in Ophthalmology, before seeing the light and becoming a GP in 2008. He lives locally with his wife and 2 small children. |

Dr John Myles
John Myles has worked in Shaftesbury since 2010 when he returned to the UK after 3 years working in New Zealand. He grew up in the North West and trained at the University of Manchester. John's medical interests include Dermatology and Minor Surgery. Outside of work he enjoys sports, the outdoors and spending time with his wife and baby daughter. |
